PlaNet helps Eva organize her daily routine

After being diagnosed with ADHD and autism, Eva Persson has found peace of mind and a sense of clarity by using the digital tool PlaNet.

Eva Persson was diagnosed with ADHD and autism at age 48. At the time, she was insecure, avoided eye contact, and had a hard time understanding herself. Eva was on sick leave and, in her own words, a “couch zombie.”

After her diagnosis, she looked for assistive tools and, through the City of Køge, was granted access to the digital tool PlaNet. It was a turning point.

“Before, I had a hard time getting started. For example, I would forget to eat my meals.”

With this solution, Eva Persson can create visual daily schedules where the day’s tasks and activities are broken down into manageable steps. It helps her maintain an overview and conserve her energy so she can focus on what’s important.

“PlaNet works so well for me because it has alarms that sound very different, so I can customize them to my needs. At the same time, I’m very visual, so being able to use my own pictures helps me relate to it better.”

Eva Persson carries PlaNet with her as a little assistant in her pocket that reminds her of things she might otherwise forget. It gives her peace of mind and makes it easier for her to navigate her daily life independently.

“For example, PlaNet reminds me to unload the dishwasher – something my husband would otherwise have had to remind me of. So in that way, PlaNet also brings more peace of mind at home. It’s truly a lifesaver on days when I’m burned out. It keeps me from ending up as a couch potato because I know what I need to do.”

PlaNet also contributes to independence in the Municipality of Hjørring

In the Municipality of Hjørring, PlaNet is used in housing support, educational programs, the labor market, and the municipality’s new e-team. Here, staff members also observe that residents are becoming more independent and better able to take initiative in their daily lives. In this way, the solution helps support residents’ ability to manage their lives and participate in society.

“A good example is a resident who received weekly support to maintain a weekly routine, meal plan, and grocery shopping. PlaNet has proven to give her so much energy and support that she can now, with just half an hour of online support every 14 days, maintain a good daily routine for herself and her children,” says Katrine Guldager, project manager at Hjørring Municipality.

Fact Box: The digital tool PlaNet

PlaNet is a digital tool that makes it easier for neurodivergent individuals and people with cognitive challenges to keep track of their daily lives in collaboration with their support network.

The solution is one of three tools sold by the company Mobilize Me. In addition to PlaNet, Mobilize Me also offers a digital tool of the same name designed for children and people with a particular need for visual support, as well as LiMo, a goal-tracking tool that motivates users to work toward their personal goals.
